The fabrari philosophy for Design of sustainable Fashion – Exclusivity and individuality with a good conscience

Nachhaltige Mode von Fanny Abrari

Fanny Abrari

With “fabrari – wear the world” I have found my own personal way of creatively expressing my appreciation for the world, its people and the arts by creating an ethically correct produced label.

In my opinion, appreciation, respectful interaction and sustainable thinking are crucial values in our lives: For people and their work but also for the environment and the earth, with all its resources.

Exploitation – both of people and environment – have always had a negative impact in history. As we can see now in our current society, in one hand we struggle with very poor production conditions and their suppliers and subcontractors of the garment industry , and on the other hand with massive environmental pollution of waste, water and air. It is high time to rethink and start acting more sustainable and responsible.

fabrari in a nutshell

My photographs from all over the world are printed on natural materials using high-quality, environmental and resource-saving digital printing, free of toxins and chemicals. The fabrics are processed in individual production to garments by seamstresses with disabilities of non-profit companies in Vienna .

The quantities per motif are strictly limited.

Own photographies only

The beauties of the world are reflected in so many things and are geographically borderless: architecture, natural spectacles, animals and objects, materials- I don’t set myself any limits.

Traveling and photographing have always had a special importance in my life, and this has created a deep desire not only to capture world’s beauty but also to make it “wearable“- produced ethically fair and correct.

Farben

Non-toxic colours and chemicals

The fabrics with high quality standards are sourced from German suppliers. Raw materials are selected using GOTS-approved printing inks from Europe specially developed for natural fibers. They contain non- toxic colours and chemicals. This also fulfills the conditions of the Oekotex Standard 100.

Washing instructions

The fabrics are completely colourfast and can be gently washed at 30 degrees. Wash inside out.

Druckerei

High quality printing in Germany

The resource-conserving printing is made in Germany   using state-of-the-art digital printing technologyWastewater and exhaust air generated are also free from environmentally harmful substances.

Simple cuts

The cuts are intentionally simple, so that the pictures can be shown as untrimmed as possible.

At the seams, the motifs meet again and create a picture of their own. Therefore, they are individually tailored and manufactured. The garments have a 360 degree effect and are eye-catchers from all sides.

Manufactured in Vienna

The pieces are produced individually by the wonderful seamstresses of the non-profit companies like WIENWORK and Textilmanufaktur TEMA. People with physical or mental disadvantages, with chronic illnesses or long-term unemployed people thus have an opportunity to participate in the economic and social process. The garments are produced exclusively in small series, limited per motif, with great attention to detail.

100% sustainability

I make sure to use the maximum of the fabrics. From the leftovers carrying bags, decorative pieces, lavender bags or accessories  are produced. From time to time the remnents are given to socially disadvantaged seamstresses in Iran who create patchwork blankets to be sold. The proceeds benefit themselves.

My corporate flyers are designed as bookmarks in order to fulfill another practical purpose.

With garments from fabrari I offer exclusivity and quality combined with ethically correct and sustainable production. You invest in a product that is produced in Vienna and sold through individual boutiques. The individuality of each garment is guaranteed by a limited edition.

fabrari serves as an alternative to (expensive) labels that accept the exploitation of people and the environment by having their products produced under intolerable conditions.

I appreciate your support to make the world wearable!
